Urban Angeethi is our ode to the fire that brings people together.

Inspired by the traditional Indian angeethi, the humble brazier that once sat at the heart of homes, our name carries the warmth of shared meals, slow conversations, and recipes passed through generations. It speaks of evenings that stretched a little longer, food prepared with patience & stories told between bites.

Our story grew from kitchens where recipes were remembered by instinct and flavours were built without haste. We honour the long-standing traditions that have been shaped over generations, allowing flame, spice & time to create a beautiful symphony of flavours. At Urban Angeethi, the spirit of fire and familiarity lives in everything we do.

Meet the owners

Paras Singh

Born and raised amidst the landscapes of Uttarakhand and Haryana in Northern India, Paras Singh grew up in a culture where food carries memory, marks celebrations, and anchors family life. His earliest understanding of cooking emerged from observing these living traditions, where recipes were preserved through practice rather than in pages. He later pursued a degree in Hotel Management and gained experience in some of India’s distinguished restaurants, refining his technique while remaining deeply rooted in the flavours of his upbringing. At Urban Angeethi, the cuisine reflects this journey, honouring Indian heritage with discipline and presenting it with considered refinement for the contemporary table.

Chakshu Singh

The creative visionary and driving force behind Urban Angeethi, Chakshu Singh Agrawal brings a unique blend of hospitality expertise, refined design sensibility, and operational excellence. With experience at one of India’s leading luxury hotel chains, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the restaurant’s identity. From conceptualizing Urban Angeethi’s distinctive dining experience to personally designing its elegant interiors, Chakshu’s vision blends modern sophistication with the richness of Indian heritage. She also oversees financial planning, staff development, and guest relations, ensuring exceptional hospitality at every touchpoint. A devoted mother of two and a respected member of the Triangle’s Indian community, Chakshu continues to elevate Urban Angeethi through her creativity, leadership, and passion for excellence.
